Information for an accurate quotation
- How many users and departments need access?
- Which applications and shared resources are business-critical?
- What equipment and connectivity can be reused?
- What changes or expansion are expected after installation?
Structured cabling, LAN/WAN design, wireless networks, fibre connectivity and server infrastructure should be planned together. DCS also considers endpoint, antivirus and firewall requirements alongside connectivity. Power arrangements, equipment locations and access for maintenance are reviewed as part of site planning.
Installation, integration and handover
A complete setup includes configuration, integration, testing and the information needed to operate it. We discuss how users will access shared resources, who will administer systems and what technical documentation is needed. Maintenance, resource upgrades and ongoing support can be scoped alongside the initial project.
Confirm the project scope
Ask the team to confirm the proposed equipment, quantities, required accessories, installation responsibilities and support coverage. Any existing equipment to be retained should be identified before the quotation is finalised. Product availability and the final configuration are confirmed for the particular project.
